How We Build and Verify Our Calculators

Zen Calculators is built and maintained by Hamza Gujjar, an Algorithm Architect and Software Developer with 15+ years of experience turning mathematical formulas into software. This page explains how our calculators are built, checked, and kept current.

Formula Sources

Each calculator is built around the standard, established formula or method used in its field - for example, the standard loan amortization formula for our finance calculators, or recognized combustion and engineering equations for our industrial calculators. We do not invent our own formulas; we implement the ones already recognized and used by professionals in that field.

Testing Before Publishing

Before a calculator is published, its output is checked by hand against known example calculations to confirm the formula was implemented correctly, including edge cases such as zero, negative, or unusually large inputs.

Ongoing Accuracy: Report Issue

Every calculator result includes a Report Issue button. If a formula, explanation, or result looks wrong to you, you can report it directly from that calculator - no account needed. Every report is reviewed personally, and calculators are corrected and republished when an issue is confirmed.

Last Updated Dates

Every calculator page shows a "Last updated" date reflecting when it was last created or edited in our system, so you can see how current the tool is at a glance.

Calculators in categories like finance, health, and legal are marked with a disclaimer noting that results are for informational and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for further detail.
