Business Days Calculator
Two Weeks Rarely Means Ten Working Days on the Calendar
A span that looks like exactly two weeks on a calendar almost never lines up perfectly with weekend boundaries, so the working-day count usually isn't a clean multiple of five. This calculator counts full Monday-to-Friday weeks first, then checks each leftover day individually against the weekday it falls on, giving an exact business-day total for any date range.
The Logic
Total Days (inclusive) = End Date − Start Date + 1
Full Weeks = Total Days ÷ 7
Business Days = (Full Weeks × 5) + (weekdays among the remaining days)
Full Weeks = Total Days ÷ 7
Business Days = (Full Weeks × 5) + (weekdays among the remaining days)
This calculator excludes only Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays are not factored in, since none are supplied as input.

From Friday, July 17, 2026 to Friday, July 31, 2026 (inclusive of both endpoints):

Where This Calculation Matters
- Delivery and shipping estimates — "5 business days" quoted from an order date lands on a different calendar date depending on which day of the week the order was placed.
- Payroll and contractor billing — counting actual working days in a pay period rather than assuming every week contributes exactly five.
- Legal and regulatory deadlines — many notice periods and filing deadlines are specified in business days rather than calendar days.
