Hair Growth Length Calculator

Hair Growth Length Calculator

Growing your hair out and curious how long it'll be in a few months? This calculator projects future length using the average scalp hair growth rate.

Projected Length = Current Length + (Growth Rate Per Month x Months)

Example

Starting at 20cm, growing for 6 months at the average rate of 1.25 cm/month:

Projected Length = 20 + (1.25 x 6) = ~27.5 cm

Where the 1.25 cm/Month Average Comes From

Scalp hair is commonly cited as growing about half an inch (1.25cm) per month on average, though this figure varies meaningfully based on individual genetics, age, hormonal factors, and overall health - some people grow noticeably faster or slower than this average.

This Doesn't Account for Trims

This is a simple straight-line projection of raw growth and doesn't subtract length lost to regular trims - if you get your hair trimmed periodically, your actual net length increase will be somewhat less than this projected figure.
