This calculator takes an actual clock-in and clock-out time for each day, subtracts breaks, and totals the week to the minute, including overnight shifts that cross midnight.

The Formula

If a shift's clock-out time is earlier than its clock-in time, the calculator treats it as an overnight shift and adds 24 hours to the span automatically, so a 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM shift correctly resolves to 8 hours rather than a negative number.

A Worked Example

At $22/hour with no overtime triggered (35.5 hours is under the 40-hour threshold), total pay for the week is $781.00.

2. Enter break minutes for each day (defaults to 0).

4. Enter the weekly overtime threshold in hours (defaults to 40).
