Why Proportional Sizing Beats a Fixed Pixel Size
Sizing a watermark relative to video resolution, rather than using a fixed pixel size, keeps it proportionally consistent whether the same source content is exported at 720p or full 4K - a fixed-pixel watermark would look tiny on a 4K export and oversized on a lower-resolution one.
The Recommended Size Range
A commonly recommended watermark size falls around 8-12% of video width - subtle enough to avoid obscuring the actual content, but visible enough to meaningfully deter unauthorized reuse or re-uploading of the footage.
