Impressions Needed for Reach Calculator

Planning backward from reach and frequency goals

Instead of calculating reach from a known impression volume, this works in reverse - starting from campaign goals (how many people to reach, how many times each) to find the total impression volume needed to buy or deliver.

Worked example

For a target reach of 100,000 people at an average frequency of 3:

Impressions Needed = 100000 x 3 = 300,000.0 impressions needed

This figure becomes the starting point for budget sizing - combined with an expected CPM for the target audience and placements, it directly translates into the media budget required to hit both the reach and frequency goals simultaneously.
