Meal Plan Cost Per Meal Calculator
Comparing meal plans on an apples-to-apples basis
Meal plan pricing can be hard to compare directly across tiers - breaking it down to a per-meal cost is the clearest way to judge value against off-campus food costs or a different plan option.
Worked example
For a $2,400 meal plan including 200 meals for the semester:
Cost Per Meal = 2400 / 200 = 12.0 per meal
Meals that go unused by semester's end effectively raise the real cost per meal actually eaten above this advertised rate - realistically estimating how many included meals will actually be used (accounting for occasional off-campus eating, weekends away, or lighter appetite days) gives a more accurate comparison than the plan's stated per-meal price.
