Worked example
For 30 transferred credits valued at $600 per credit hour at the four-year school:
Savings = 30 x 600 = 18,000.0
Always confirm transfer credit acceptance with the receiving institution before assuming full credit transfer - not all credits transfer automatically, at full value, or toward specific major requirements, so verifying transfer agreements in advance is essential to actually realizing these calculated savings.
