Social connection is consistently linked to well-being, but "how connected am I?" is hard to answer without a framework. This calculator combines how many close friends you have, how often you actually connect with them, and how meaningful those connections feel into a single weighted score.
The Formula
Score = min(Friends,10)/10×30 + min(Contact/wk,14)/14×30 + Quality/10×40
Worked Example
6 close friends, contacted 5 times a week on average, with a quality rating of 8/10.
Score = (6/10×30) + (5/14×30) + (8/10×40) = 18.0 + 10.71 + 32.0 = 60.7 ("Solid Connections")
