Weekly Goal Progress Calculator

Weekly Goal Progress Calculator

Partway through a multi-week goal? This calculator compares your actual progress against the expected pace to catch problems early.

Expected Progress % = (Weeks Elapsed / Total Weeks) x 100
Actual Progress % = (Units Completed / Total Goal Units) x 100

Example

5 weeks into a 10-week goal, 40 of 100 total units completed:

Expected: 50.0% | Actual: 40.0% → Behind Schedule

Why Linear Pace Is a Useful Baseline

Comparing actual progress against a simple linear expected pace is a straightforward way to catch a goal falling behind early enough to adjust course - waiting until the final deadline to notice a shortfall leaves far less room to course-correct.

Not Every Goal Progresses Linearly

Some goals naturally have uneven pacing (heavy upfront research followed by faster execution, or the reverse) - use this linear comparison as a general early-warning signal rather than an absolute rule, and factor in your goal's actual expected shape.
