What Counts as a Natural Speaking Pace
Natural conversational speaking pace for most presenters commonly falls around 130-150 words per minute - a calculated pace well above this range suggests either trimming the script content or extending the target duration to avoid sounding rushed on camera or on stage.
Adjust the Script, Not Just Your Speaking Speed
Rather than forcing an unnaturally fast delivery to fit a tight time slot, trimming the script itself to match a natural, comfortable pace generally produces a more polished, confident-sounding final presentation.
