Ordering flowers for your big day? This calculator totals stems needed across centerpieces and bouquets.
Total Stems = (Centerpieces x Stems Per Centerpiece) + (Bouquets x Stems Per Bouquet)
Example
15 centerpieces at 12 stems each, 6 bouquets at 20 stems each:
Centerpiece Stems = 180, Bouquet Stems = 120 → 300 total stems needed
What This Total Doesn't Include
This covers centerpieces and bouquets only - boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony arch florals, and aisle decorations are commonly budgeted and ordered separately, so add those stem counts on top of this total when placing a full order with a florist.
Why Getting This Number Right Matters
Florists typically order flowers from wholesale suppliers in advance based on a finalized stem count - underestimating leaves centerpieces looking sparse, while overestimating means paying for unused flowers, so a well-calculated total helps avoid both outcomes.
