Cost Per Credit Hour Calculator
Breaking tuition down class by class
Seeing tuition as one large semester total makes it hard to evaluate individual course decisions - breaking it down to a per-class cost makes tradeoffs like retaking a class or adding an elective much more concrete.
Worked example
For a 3-credit class at $500 per credit hour:
Cost = 3 x 500 = 1,500.0
This per-class figure is especially useful when deciding whether to drop a course after the refund deadline, retake a failed class, or add an extra elective - each decision now has a clear dollar value attached rather than an abstract fraction of the total bill.
