Nutrition Per 100g Calculator

Why per-100g is the international comparison standard

Standardizing nutrition figures to a per-100g basis - the international standard used on most food labels outside the US - allows direct, fair comparison between different foods or different package sizes, rather than comparing raw totals that depend on arbitrary serving sizes.

Worked example

For 25 units of a nutrient in a 150g total sample:

Per 100g = (25 / 150) x 100 = 16.67 per 100g

This standardized figure lets you compare two different foods (or the same food from two different brands with different package sizes) on a genuinely equal footing, rather than being misled by whichever product happens to have a larger serving size stated on its label.
