The Formula

Total Scoops = Guests × Scoops per Person, Gallons Needed = Total Scoops / Scoops per Gallon

Worked Example

20 guests, 2 scoops each, 16 scoops per gallon.

Total Scoops = 20 × 2 = 40, Gallons Needed = 40/16 = 2.5 gallons
