Estimating drinks for a party means accounting for both how many guests you have and how long the party runs, since people drink more over a longer event. This calculator turns those two numbers into a shopping list.
The Formula
Total Drinks = Guests × Drinks per Hour × Party Hours, Cases Needed = ceil(Total Drinks / Drinks per Case)
Worked Example
20 guests, 1.5 drinks per hour each, over a 4-hour party.
Total Drinks = 20 × 1.5 × 4 = 120, Cases Needed = ceil(120/12) = 10 cases
