Relationship Investment Balance Calculator

Is time investment in your relationship reasonably balanced between both partners? This calculator compares weekly hours each of you devotes to the relationship.

Your Share% = (Your Hours / Total Combined Hours) x 100

Example

You invest 10 hours/week, your partner invests 8 hours/week:

Total = 18 hours → You: 55.6%, Partner: 44.4% (fairly balanced)

50/50 Isn't the Only "Healthy" Split

A perfectly even split isn't necessarily required for a healthy relationship - what matters more is that both partners feel the balance is fair given their respective circumstances (work schedules, energy levels, other commitments), and that any imbalance is a mutually acknowledged, temporary situation rather than an ongoing source of quiet resentment.

Use This to Start a Conversation

This calculator is meant to prompt an honest conversation about investment balance between partners, not to declare a "winner" in relationship effort - the goal is mutual awareness and adjustment, not scorekeeping.
