Training Volume Calculator
The single number that captures workout progress
Training volume combines weight, reps, and sets into one comparable figure, making it possible to see progress even when only one of those three variables changes between workouts - more weight, more reps, or more sets all show up as a higher total volume.
Worked example
For 4 sets of 8 reps at 60kg:
Volume = 4 x 8 x 60 = 1,920.0 kg total volume
Tracking training volume week over week is one of the most common ways strength athletes monitor progressive overload - a steadily rising volume trend over time is a strong signal that a training program is working, even on weeks where any single number (weight, reps, or sets alone) didn't change.
