Oxygen Concentration Calculator

Oxygen Concentration Calculator: Measure O2% in a Gas Stream

Oxygen concentration is one of the most commonly monitored parameters in combustion systems, used to control excess air, verify complete combustion, and meet emissions permit conditions. This calculator computes the volumetric O2 percentage from the oxygen flow and total gas flow.

The Formula

O2% = (O2 Flow / Total Gas Flow) × 100

Worked Example

A gas stream has an oxygen flow of 21 units and a total flow of 100 units.

O2% = (21 / 100) × 100 = 21%

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the oxygen flow rate in any volumetric flow unit.
  2. Enter the total gas flow rate in the same unit.
  3. Click Calculate to get the O2 concentration by volume.
