When a regulatory limit or reference value is given on a dry basis but you need to know the actual concentration present in the real, moisture-containing flue gas stream, this calculator converts it back to wet basis.

The Formula

Wet% = Dry% × (1 − Moisture Fraction)

Worked Example

A dry-basis reading shows 11.11% for a species, with 10% moisture content in the gas stream.

Wet% = 11.11 × (1 − 0.10) = 10.00%
