Remaining Card Probability Calculator
Why the deck's odds keep changing
As cards are dealt or revealed, the deck's composition shifts with every card removed - recalculating probability against the actual remaining deck, rather than assuming its original unmodified composition, is the foundation of basic card counting.
Worked example
For 4 matching cards remaining out of 45 total cards left in the deck:
Probability = 4 / 45 x 100 = 8.889%
This same simple proportion applies at any point in any card game - just plug in the actual matching and total cards remaining after accounting for everything already seen, and the calculation stays accurate throughout the game.
