Example
A 25x38 parent sheet, cutting 8.5x11 pieces:
Standard: 6 pieces | Rotated: 8 pieces → Best Yield: 8 pieces per sheet
Why Checking Both Orientations Matters
Rotating the piece 90 degrees relative to the sheet often reveals a meaningfully higher yield than the first layout you'd naturally try - print shops routinely run this comparison on every job since it directly affects material cost.
