Die-Cut Sticker Layout Calculator

Die-Cut Sticker Layout Calculator

Planning a sticker print run? This calculator estimates how many die-cut stickers fit on a single sheet with proper spacing.

Effective Size = Sticker Diameter + Gap
Total Stickers = floor(Sheet Width / Effective Size) x floor(Sheet Height / Effective Size)

Example

A 12x12 inch sheet, 2-inch stickers, 1/8 inch gap:

Effective Size = 2.125 in → 25 stickers per sheet

Why the Gap Between Stickers Matters

Leaving a small gap - commonly 1/8 inch - between die-cut pieces keeps the cutting blade from overlapping adjacent designs, which would otherwise risk tearing or misregistration between neighboring stickers during the die-cutting process.

This Assumes a Simple Grid Layout

This calculates a straightforward rectangular grid arrangement - irregularly shaped stickers (stars, custom outlines) can sometimes be nested more tightly by specialized layout software, yielding a somewhat higher count than this basic grid estimate.
