Organic Traffic Value Calculator
Putting a Dollar Figure on Rankings
Organic traffic doesn't come with an invoice, which makes it easy to undervalue against paid channels that report cost-per-click directly. This calculator closes that gap by pricing organic clicks at what the equivalent traffic would cost through paid search, giving SEO work a comparable figure for budget conversations.
The Formula
Organic Traffic Value = Monthly Organic Clicks × Equivalent CPC
Estimated Annual Value = Monthly Value × 12
Estimated Annual Value = Monthly Value × 12
"Equivalent CPC" is the cost-per-click you'd pay in paid search (e.g. Google Ads) to buy that same traffic — pull it from your own paid campaigns for the same keywords when available, since CPC varies widely by industry and intent.
Where This Matters
- Budget justification — showing leadership what organic traffic would cost to replace via paid ads, which reframes SEO spend as a comparison rather than a cost center.
- Content ROI — valuing the traffic a specific article or landing page brings in each month against what it cost to produce.
- Portfolio prioritization — ranking pages or keyword clusters by estimated monthly value to decide where to invest further optimization effort.
Example Valuations
| Monthly Clicks | Equivalent CPC | Monthly Value | Annual Value |

| 2,000 | $2.25 | $4,500.00 | $54,000.00 |
| 10,000 | $3.00 | $30,000.00 | $360,000.00 |
| 50,000 | $1.75 | $87,500.00 | $1,050,000.00 |
