Burner Combustion Air Fan Power Calculator

Selecting a combustion air fan means matching motor power to the actual work the fan has to do - moving a given air flow against the system's total resistance, at that fan's own efficiency.

The Formula

P = (Q × ΔP) / efficiency

Worked Example

0.5 m³/s of air flow against 1,500 Pa of system pressure at 65% fan efficiency:

P = (0.5 × 1,500) / 0.65 = 1,153.8 W ≈ 1.15 kW
