A Straight-Line Estimate Is the Baseline Every Real ETA Adjusts From
Before accounting for traffic, customs holds, or hub transfers, every delivery estimate starts from the same basic relationship: how far, divided by how fast. This calculator applies that baseline math to a starting date and time to produce a projected arrival, giving a floor estimate that more detailed routing tools then adjust for real-world conditions.
The Formula
ETA = Start Date/Time + Travel Time
Distance and average speed must use matching units — both in kilometers or both in miles — since the calculator has no way to convert between them. The resulting travel time in hours is added directly to the entered start date and time to produce the estimated arrival.

Going from 40 to 70 in average speed cuts more than five hours off the trip — a useful sanity check when comparing route or mode options for the same distance.
