Small Per-Label Fees Add Up Fast at Volume
A shipping label rarely costs more than a few cents to a couple of dollars on its own, which is exactly why the total is easy to underestimate — multiply a modest per-label rate by a few hundred shipments a month, add a weight surcharge, and the line item becomes material to a fulfillment budget. Bulk discounts from carriers or label providers can offset that, but only if the volume is high enough to unlock them.
The Formula
The per-label cost combines the base label fee with any weight-based surcharge before it's multiplied across the full quantity. A bulk discount percentage, if any, is then applied to that subtotal to produce the final total.
