Boiler Water Treatment Chemical Dosage Calculator

Boiler Water Treatment Chemical Dosage Calculator

Boiler water treatment chemicals - oxygen scavengers, alkalinity boosters, scale inhibitors - all need to be dosed to reach a specific target concentration, not just added in arbitrary amounts.

Formula: Dosage (g) = concentration (mg/L) × volume (L) ÷ 1000

Example: reaching a 50 mg/L target concentration in 10,000 L of boiler water requires 500 g of chemical.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the target concentration in mg/L.
  2. Enter the total water volume being treated.

Under-dosing risks corrosion or scale formation; over-dosing wastes chemical and can itself create water chemistry problems - both reasons accurate dosing matters more than "adding a bit extra to be safe."
