Furnace Volume Calculator

Furnace Volume Calculator: Size Your Combustion Chamber

The internal volume of a furnace or combustion chamber is a starting point for calculating heat release rate density, residence time, and overall furnace sizing. This calculator computes volume from the three basic chamber dimensions.

The Formula

Volume = Length × Width × Height

Worked Example

A rectangular combustion chamber measures 4 m long, 3 m wide, and 2.5 m high.

Volume = 4 × 3 × 2.5 = 30 m³

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the internal length of the chamber in meters.
  2. Enter the internal width in meters.
  3. Enter the internal height in meters.
  4. Click Calculate to get the chamber volume in cubic meters.
