Why fees push your true break-even higher
The true break-even point for a crypto position is always somewhat higher than the raw purchase price alone, once trading fees on both the buy and eventual sell side are properly accounted for.
Worked example
For $5,000 total cost paid plus $50 in fees, holding 0.2 coins:
Break-Even = (5000 + 50) / 0.2 = 25,250.0 per coin
Remember this only accounts for fees already paid on the buy side - factor in the expected fee on the eventual sell transaction too for a complete picture of the price needed to truly break even after both trades. This is informational only, not financial advice.
