Bubble Wrap Roll Calculator
Bubble Wrap Roll Calculator
Protecting dishes, glassware, and other fragile items? This calculator estimates how many rolls of bubble wrap you'll need.
Rolls Needed = ceil((Fragile Items x Wrap Per Item) / Roll Length)
Example
50 fragile items, averaging 3 ft of wrap each, 175 ft rolls:
Total = 50 x 3 = 150 ft → 1 roll needed
Why "Average Wrap Per Item" Varies
A dinner plate might need only a single wrap, while a large vase or lamp could need several full wraps to fully cushion it - adjusting this average upward for collections with larger or oddly-shaped fragile items gives a more realistic estimate.
Consider Double-Wrapping Your Most Valuable Items
For particularly valuable or sentimental items, wrapping twice and adding a layer of packing paper underneath is a common extra precaution well worth the small amount of additional material.
